This building has been a gathering place since 1916, when it opened as a Czech fraternal club called ZCBJ Hall. We renovated it in 2019 and kept the character, the wood, the exposed brick, while adding what a modern reception actually needs.

Our 13,000 square feet are laid out so every part of the night has a room of its own, and our staff reset the next one while your guests are still enjoying the last.

The Great Room and That Dance Floor

The Great Room seats up to 216 guests for dinner, and the layout is flexible, so we build the room around your head table rather than the other way around. Exposed brick, a stage, chandelier lighting, and a grand piano mean the room looks like something before a single centerpiece goes down. Then there is the dance floor, the largest wooden one in Michigan. If the forecast turns on you, this same room hosts your ceremony, so rain becomes a small adjustment instead of a rewrite.

Cocktail Hour in the Bar Lounge

While we flip the Great Room for dinner, your guests are at the granite bar with a drink in hand. Our bartenders are licensed, and the bar is insured, which is one less thing for you to arrange. Run it hosted, semi-hosted, or cash. We pour standard, premium, and top shelf liquor, plus wine, beer, seltzer, specialty cocktails, and non alcoholic options. Two house rules worth knowing early: no outside alcohol, and the bar closes thirty minutes before your DJ finishes.

Buffet Service That Keeps Moving

Dinner service is where receptions lose momentum. Ours stages out of the Legacy Room, a separate area with stainless serving lines, so food stays fresh and plates keep moving without staff hauling pans through the middle of your party. It also works as its own space for up to 56 guests.

Food From Our Own Kitchen

Catering is on site, and the menu is yours to build. Czech fried chicken is our signature, a nod to the building's roots. It shares the buffet with roasted pork loin, brisket, salmon, and pasta like mostaccioli or butternut squash ravioli. Sides run from Yukon gold mashed potatoes to green beans with almonds, with fresh baked dinner rolls on the table. We write custom menus for vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly guests. Dessert can come from your own vendor or from us. Later, a French fry bar, soft pretzel bar, donut wall, or s'mores station pulls people back onto the floor.

Our Team Handles the Turn

You get one point person who handles vendor communication and day-of coordination, so your DJ, photographer, and florist call us instead of you. Our team sets up and tears down tables and chairs, lights the candles, keeps drinks moving, runs the buffet, refills the dessert table, flips the room, and cleans up at the end. Tables, chairs, white linens, and placeware are included. Décor is available to rent if you want a shorter vendor list.

Easy to Reach, Easy to Photograph

We sit in Owosso, between Lansing and Flint, within driving distance of Saginaw, Detroit, and Grand Rapids. The Great Room hosts indoor ceremonies when the weather turns, so your outdoor plan has a backup inside the same building.
