Valentine's String Quartet Experience

The Z Hall doors will open from 5:45-8:30 on Friday, February 10th, 2023. The purchase of a ticket for this event will not only provide a delicious meal but also a spectacular stage show! We are partnering with a highly acclaimed string quartet to provide a special night out with friends.

This talented group of string musicians, “String Poets,” will serenade you throughout your meal with classical sounds as you enjoy time with the ones you love. Hopefully that includes your invited group of friends! After dinner, the quartet will showcase their talents with a formal stage show. This will feature a World Tour of Music, highlighting diverse and upbeat modern sounds from a variety of genres as heard through strings.  String Poets is highly acclaimed with some of the best professional string musicians in the country.  Lead violinist Dr. Takeshi Abo is brilliant and engaging, whose music has been described by critics as “Angelic” and “Breathtakingly beautiful.”  Dr Abo regularly performs throughout the US and Japan as Concertmaster with many orchestras and as soloist in many concertos. He is currently Assistant Professor at Alma College and has taught at Central Michigan University, Albion, Interlochen Arts Academy, and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.

Menu options include a choice of:

• Prime rib with au jus and creamy horseradish dipping sauce, roasted red potatoes, and balsamic maple brussel sprouts.
• Slow roasted chicken breast covered in a creamy parmesan garlic mushroom sauce, roasted red potatoes, and balsamic maple brussel sprouts.
• Michigan cherry salad: baked chicken on a bed of mixed greens topped with dried cherries, feta cheese, red onion, candied nuts and sliced apples.

All menu options include  admission to the show and light appetizers, fresh baked roll, dessert. Our full service bar will be open and will feature a few signature cocktails.

Not hungry? Tickets are also available for the main street dueling piano portion only! Tickets are $30 for the music portion only. Registration for the music only tickets will begin at 7:00 to ensure you have plenty of time to find a drink at the bar and a seat at the table.
